Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how The MKé Exchange (“MKé Exchange,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Malachi Battle, handles personal information through mkeexchange.com, our newsletter and free book, events, MKé Machine inquiries and purchases, and our Facebook and Instagram lead forms.
1. Information we collect and why
- Newsletter: We collect the email address and any other details you choose to submit to send the MKé Exchange newsletter, ideas, resources, event updates, and related offers. We use subscription status and available email interaction information to manage subscriptions and understand engagement.
- Free book and audiobook: We collect your email address to provide access to Marketing Without the Confusion, verify subscriber access, and handle access-related messages. Kit manages the email signup and subscriber access. Any additional marketing subscription should be explained in the signup or lead form you use; you can unsubscribe from marketing messages.
- Meta lead forms: When you submit a Facebook or Instagram lead form, we receive the information you submit, such as your name, email address, and answers to the questions displayed in that form. We use it to deliver the resource, newsletter, event information, or response described in the form and to follow up about that request. We use lead information consistently with the notice and choices presented when you submit it. Submitting a form does not authorize unrelated uses of your information. Meta also processes information under its own Privacy Policy.
- Events: If you contact us about an event or register through a registration service, we receive the contact and registration information you provide or that the service shares with the organizer. We use it to manage attendance, respond to questions, and send event logistics. Event updates requested through our newsletter are handled as newsletter subscriptions. Our website includes photos from past events; contact us with a privacy concern about an identifiable image.
- MKé Machine and other inquiries: We receive your email address, name, message, business details, and any materials you choose to send. We use them to answer questions, discuss fit, arrange setup, and provide the services you request. Please do not email passwords, payment-card numbers, or unnecessary sensitive information. If implementation requires access to your business systems, the scope and access arrangements are handled separately with you.
- Purchases and contributions: We process contact, billing, order, payment-status, and delivery information to fulfill purchases, provide support, keep transaction records, and address payment issues. The site uses Easy Digital Downloads for digital purchases and links to Stripe, Venmo, and Cash App for contributions. Payment services handle payment credentials under their own policies. We do not ask you to send full card details by email.
- Website and technical information: Our website and infrastructure process information such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, and security-related activity to deliver, maintain, and protect the site. Analytics information is described below.
2. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies for website functions such as subscriber access, sessions, checkout, and measurement. Some features may not work if you block or delete cookies.
The website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and interactions. Our measurement includes newsletter signup submissions, clicks to newsletter signup and booking links, checkout-link clicks, and completed purchases. Purchase measurements can include a transaction identifier, product details, currency, and order value. Our custom conversion-tracking code does not read newsletter form fields or send the submitted email address as part of those custom events. Google Analytics may process browser, device, online identifier, approximate location, and usage information under Google’s policies.
You can manage cookies in your browser and use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on where supported. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Browser cookie settings do not unsubscribe you from email.
We use Meta lead forms to collect requests made through our advertisements. That collection is separate from a website tracking pixel. No Meta Pixel was identified in the public homepage or theme tracking code reviewed for this policy on October 23, 2026. If we introduce a Meta Pixel or another advertising tracker, we will update this policy to explain the collection, purposes, recipients, and available choices, and provide consent or opt-out controls where required.
3. Service providers and limited disclosures
We do not sell personal information or give it to other businesses for their own marketing. We use the services below to operate our website, communicate with you, and fulfill your requests. Those services process information as part of their functions.
We use service providers to operate the website, host and deliver content, manage email and subscriber access, process transactions, protect the site, maintain backups, and measure performance. The services identified on the site include:
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit): newsletter signup, subscriber management, and book-access verification. See Kit’s Privacy Policy.
- Google: Google Analytics measurement and externally hosted Google Fonts, which involve requests from your browser to Google. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Meta: Facebook and Instagram lead-form collection and advertising, subject to Meta’s own privacy policy.
- Website infrastructure and operational providers: hosting, email delivery, security, caching, backups, and digital-download services used to operate and support the website.
- Payment, registration, and scheduling services: the provider shown when you choose to pay, register, or book. Stripe, Venmo, and Cash App are linked from our contribution page. A third-party service’s own policy applies to information you give it directly.
We disclose information to service providers as needed to carry out the service or request, when you direct us to do so, or when reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect people and systems. We do not authorize service providers to use Meta lead-form information for unrelated purposes. We do not publish lead-form submissions or subscriber lists as public website content.
4. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected: maintaining a subscription or book access, responding to an inquiry, running an event, delivering and supporting a purchase, and meeting legal, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution needs. The appropriate period depends on the type of information, the relationship, and applicable obligations.
If you unsubscribe, we stop marketing emails to that address, but may retain a limited suppression record to respect that choice. Transaction records, necessary service communications, and backup copies may remain for their applicable retention periods. You can contact us to request deletion; we will explain any information we need to retain.
5. Your choices and privacy requests
You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or contact us at malachibattle@mkeexchange.com. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent necessary messages about a purchase, access request, or event you registered for.
Depending on your location and the laws that apply, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information; obtain a copy; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain advertising-related uses or disclosures. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions. We will consider requests under applicable law and may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity or authority. You can also ask us about an unresolved request or contact the relevant privacy regulator where that right applies.
To make a request, email malachibattle@mkeexchange.com with the subject “Privacy request” and describe your request. Please identify the email address you used with us, but do not send identity documents unless we request a secure verification method.
6. Security and international processing
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no website, email service, or storage system can guarantee complete security. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where applicable, legally required protections apply to those transfers.
7. Children
Our website, marketing lead forms, and newsletter are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and address it. Any event-specific eligibility or registration requirements will be stated separately.
8. Other websites and policy updates
Our site links to third-party websites, social networks, media, payment pages, and other services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We may update this policy as our services or practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version; we will provide additional notice when required.
